Clock in and out
If your organisation uses the Timesheets module, you’ll log your work hours each day by clocking in when you start and clocking out when you finish.
Open My Timesheets
- On the left hand sidebar, click My Timesheets.
You’ll see a 7-day timesheet view with rows for each day, plus a clock in/out button at the top.
Clock in
- At the start of your shift, click Clock In.
- The platform records the current time as your start time and starts a live duration counter (HH:MM:SS) so you can see your running total.
Clock out
- At the end of your shift, click Clock Out.
- The platform records the current time as your end time and stops the counter.
That day’s row updates with your clock in time, clock out time, total hours, and any break minutes.
Recording breaks
Breaks are entered as minutes for the day. After clocking out, edit the day’s row and enter the total break minutes. The platform subtracts breaks from your total hours.
If you forget, you can come back and edit the day’s record any time before submitting it for approval.
Edit a day after clocking out
Click into the day’s row. You can adjust:
- Clock in time
- Clock out time
- Break minutes (0 to 480)
- Notes (optional, e.g. “worked from home”)
If you didn’t clock in or out on the day (forgot, phone died), enter the times manually. The platform supports backdated entries.
Public holidays
Public holidays for your state are highlighted in yellow on the timesheet. You don’t need to clock in on a public holiday unless you actually worked. If you did work, clock in and out as usual; payroll applies the relevant penalty rate based on your award.
Status flow
Each day’s record can be:
- Pending — Not yet submitted for approval.
- Approved — Manager has approved.
- Rejected — Manager has sent it back. Edit and re-submit.
Submitting for approval
Once your week is complete (typically end of week), submit the timesheet for approval. See Submit timesheets for approval.
What if I forget to clock in?
It happens. Just enter the time manually for that day before submitting. Your manager will see the manual entry, but as long as your hours are accurate, that’s fine.
