View and analyse survey results

Once a survey is live, you can watch responses come in and analyse the results in the survey results page.

Open survey results

  1. Sidebar then Surveys.
  2. Click the survey you want to look at.
  3. Results tab.

Live response counter

At the top, you see:

  • Total responses
  • Response rate (responses divided by invited)
  • Days remaining until close
  • Number of reminders sent

If the survey is anonymous, you only see the aggregate numbers, never which individuals have or haven’t responded.

Per question breakdown

Each question shows its results in the most useful format for that question type:

  • Multiple choice: bar chart with counts and percentages
  • Rating scale: average and distribution chart
  • Free text: list of responses (anonymous if the survey is anonymous)
  • Yes/No: simple percentage

You can filter the question results by:

  • Department
  • Employment type
  • Team
  • Tenure (less than 1 year, 1 to 3 years, 3+)

Filters are only available where the cell size is large enough to preserve anonymity (the platform hides slices with fewer than 5 respondents).

AI themes

For free text questions, click AI themes to get an automatic summary of the dominant themes across responses. The AI:

  • Groups similar responses
  • Surfaces the top 3 to 5 themes by frequency
  • Links each theme to example responses

Use it as a first pass, then read the full responses for nuance. See AI survey insights for more on this.

Compare to previous

If you’ve run the same survey before, click Compare to see this period’s results next to the previous period’s. Useful for tracking engagement over time.

Export

Click Export results at the top right for:

  • CSV. Full raw data (anonymous responses are still anonymous).
  • PDF report. Branded summary with charts, ready to share with leadership.
  • Themes summary. Just the AI themes, suitable for an action plan.

Closing the survey

You can close a survey early from the results page (Close survey at the top right). Closing stops new responses but keeps existing responses intact.

You can also extend a closing survey: Extend lets you add 7 to 30 days to the close date.
