Sign your contract and complete your onboarding tasks

Your onboarding portal lists the tasks you need to complete. This article explains how to work through them, including signing your employment contract.

Find your tasks

When you sign in for the first time, the portal opens automatically. From then on, you can come back to it any time before it’s complete:

  • The portal page is your dashboard until onboarding is finished.
  • Each task shows as a card with a status: Not started, In progress, or Done.

You can pick up tasks in any order, though the platform usually walks through them in a sensible default order (personal details first, then tax/super/bank, then contract, then policies, then anything else).

Signing your contract

Your employment contract is one of the most important parts of onboarding. The platform handles signing electronically, you don’t need to print anything.

  1. Click the Contract task to open it.
  2. Read the contract in full. Use the page controls to scroll through if it’s longer than one screen.
  3. At the bottom, you’ll find a signature area.
  4. Add your signature (typed or drawn, depending on the contract).
  5. Click to confirm and submit.

Your signed contract is now stored on your record, accessible from your My Documents page at any time. Your HR admin gets a notification.

If you’re not ready to sign (you have questions, want to take it to a lawyer, or anything else): close the task and come back to it later. Your manager or HR admin can answer questions before you sign.

Acknowledging policies

If your organisation has policies assigned for new starters, they appear as tasks. Each one works like a normal policy acknowledgement (see Acknowledge a policy):

  1. Open the policy from your task list.
  2. Read it in full.
  3. Click Acknowledge at the bottom.

The acknowledgement is recorded against your name, with a timestamp.

Other onboarding tasks

Your organisation may also include tasks like:

  • Upload your work rights documentation
  • Confirm your emergency contact
  • Complete welcome training modules
  • Read your team handbook
  • Fill in a team introduction form

Each task on your portal explains what’s needed. Most are quick. If something doesn’t make sense, ask your manager.

Completing onboarding

Once all your required tasks are done, the portal shows a finish button. Click it to confirm you’ve completed everything.

Optional tasks can be left for later if you want, you don’t need to do them to finish.

Once you confirm, the portal closes for good and your dashboard becomes your regular homepage. Your sidebar opens up to all the platform features your role gives you access to (My Leave, My Documents, etc.).

Coming back to a task

If you’ve started a task and didn’t finish it, the platform saves what you’ve entered. Sign back in any time and pick up where you left off. Your TFN, super, and bank details, in particular, are saved as drafts until you submit, so you can come back if you don’t have all the details to hand.
