Acknowledge a policy

When your admin publishes a policy and assigns it to you, you’ll see it in your My Policies list with an Action required badge. Acknowledging it is a one click action.

See your assigned policies

  1. On the left hand sidebar, click My Policies.
  2. Pending policies also surface on your dashboard as tasks, so you can jump straight in from there.

Each policy shows as a card with:

  • The policy title and a short description.
  • A status badge:
    • Action required (pink). Needs to be acknowledged.
    • Acknowledged (green). You’ve already done this one.
    • Read only (grey). Available to read, no acknowledgement needed.
    • Expired (yellow). Past its expiry date.

Read and acknowledge

  1. Click View Policy on the card to open the full policy.
  2. Read the contents. Effective and expiry dates are shown at the top.
  3. Click Acknowledge at the bottom of the policy.
  4. The button updates to a green Acknowledged badge straight away, and you’ll see a confirmation toast.

That’s it. Your acknowledgement is recorded with a timestamp against your record for compliance purposes.

What if a policy expires

If a policy passes its expiry date, you’ll see an Expired banner at the top of the policy view and the badge changes to Expired. The policy stays visible so you can still read it, and your previous acknowledgement remains on file. If your admin publishes a replacement, you’ll get a new acknowledgement task.

Re-reading a policy after acknowledging

You can re-open any policy you’ve acknowledged from the My Policies list at any time. Acknowledged policies stay on your dashboard as a record.

Who needs to acknowledge what

Admins assign policies in three ways:

  • By role (e.g. all managers).
  • By department (e.g. everyone in Operations).
  • By individual employees.

You’ll only see policies your admin has assigned to you, your role, or your department. If you think a policy is missing, ask your admin.

Tracking acknowledgements (admins)

If you’re an admin, the admin Policies page shows the total acknowledgement count for each policy. Open any policy to see who has and hasn’t acknowledged it, the date they did, and any deadline that was set.
