Use the Compliance Calendar
The Compliance Calendar is your month-by-month tracker for HR and legislative deadlines. It comes pre-loaded with the standard Australian compliance tasks (FBT, STP finalisation, Workplace Gender Equality reporting, etc.) and you can add your own custom tasks for the things specific to your organisation.
Open the Compliance Calendar
- From the HR Hub, click Compliance Calendar (or navigate to
/hr-hub/compliance.html).
You’ll see an accordion-style view of the year, with each month as a collapsible section. Each month’s count shows how many tasks are due that month and how many are still open.
Tasks at a glance
Each task row shows:
- A checkbox to mark complete
- The task title
- A priority badge:
- Critical (red)
- High (amber)
- Medium (purple)
- Low (grey)
- The area the task relates to (e.g. Payroll, WHS, General HR)
- The due date
- A YHRTK badge if the task is one of the platform’s pre-loaded standards (vs an org-specific custom task)
Click a row to expand and read the full task description.
Mark a task complete
Tick the checkbox. The row dims, the title strikes through, and the month’s count decreases. Done.
If you tick the wrong task by accident, untick it. No penalty.
Add a custom task
For tasks specific to your organisation that aren’t in the pre-loaded set:
- Click Add Task in the page header.
- Fill in:
- Title
- Description
- Due date
- Priority (Critical / High / Medium / Low)
- Area (the category it relates to)
- Recurrence (one-off, monthly, quarterly, annually)
- Save.
The task appears in the right month and shows up year after year if you set a recurrence.
Edit or delete
Click into a task to edit it, or use the icon buttons to delete it.
Deleting an org-custom task removes it. You can’t delete the platform’s pre-loaded standard tasks, but you can mark them complete for years where they don’t apply to your organisation.
Filter and view
The page header has a filter row. Common filters:
- Show only open (hide completed tasks)
- Show only critical/high
- Show only a specific area (e.g. only Payroll)
The year selector lets you look at past or future years. Past years are read-only; you can’t tick or untick tasks from prior years (that preserves your compliance audit trail).
Why it matters
The compliance calendar isn’t just a to-do list. The history of what you ticked off and when becomes evidence of your compliance practices. For audits or legal reviews, you can demonstrate “yes, we reviewed our WHS plan in March 2025; here’s the record”.
For that reason, only tick a task complete when it’s actually complete. Don’t pre-tick to make the page look tidy.
