Install Your HR Toolkit on your phone or desktop
Your HR Toolkit is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can install it like a native app from your browser. Once installed it gets its own icon on your home screen or dock, opens in its own window without a browser address bar, and gets push notifications.
On iPhone / iPad (Safari)
- Open Safari and go to your platform URL.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Edit the name if you want, then Add.
The icon appears on your home screen. Tap to open like any other app.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open Chrome and go to your platform URL.
- Tap the 3 dot menu at the top right.
- Tap Install app (or Add to Home Screen).
- Confirm.
The app installs and shows up in your app drawer.
On Mac (Chrome or Edge)
- Open the platform in Chrome or Edge.
- Look for the install icon in the address bar (a small computer icon with a down arrow).
- Click it. Confirm.
The app gets its own dock icon and opens in a standalone window.
On Windows (Chrome or Edge)
- Open the platform in Chrome or Edge.
- Click the install icon in the address bar (right hand side).
- Confirm.
The app opens like a native Windows app and gets a Start menu entry.
Why bother
- Faster. Skips the browser, opens straight to where you left off.
- Notifications. Push notifications for things you’ve subscribed to (leave approvals, document signatures, reminders).
- Offline mode. Read only views (your timesheet, your leave balance, your tasks) keep working briefly even without internet.
- Looks like an app. Cleaner than a browser tab, and fits with your other work apps.
Updates
The PWA updates automatically next time you connect to the internet. You don’t need to reinstall when the platform releases a new version.
Uninstall
- iPhone / iPad: long press the icon then Remove app.
- Android: long press, drag to remove or tap Uninstall.
- Mac: drag from Dock to Trash, or in Chrome go to chrome://apps and remove.
- Windows: Start menu, right click the app, Uninstall.
