Use the offboarding checklist

Once you start an exit, the platform creates an offboarding checklist for that person. The checklist is grouped into the things that need to happen, who owns each task, and when it’s due relative to their last day.

Open the checklist

  1. Sidebar then Exits and offboarding.
  2. Click the leaver’s row.
  3. The checklist tab is the default view.

What’s on the default checklist

The system template includes the basics. Your org’s custom workflow may add or remove tasks.

  • Communication. Tell the team. Update internal channels. Optional external announcement.
  • Equipment. Laptop, phone, access cards, parking pass, uniform. Mark each item returned or written off.
  • Access. Email forwarding, file ownership transfer, calendar handover, access revoked from each system.
  • Knowledge. Handover document, work in progress reassigned, manager acceptance.
  • Payroll. Final pay calculation, leave payout, super finalisation, ETP if applicable.
  • HR. Exit interview booked, exit interview completed, references policy explained, certificate of service offered.

Mark tasks complete

Each row has a tick box. Click to mark complete. The platform records who ticked it and when.

If a task does not apply (no laptop to return, no uniform), click the small Not applicable option and add a one-line reason. That keeps the audit trail tidy.

After the last day

When every task is ticked, the platform changes the employee’s status to Terminated. Their record stays in the system for compliance, but they no longer appear in active employee lists or reports by default.
