MCP Server

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) server lets AI assistants like Claude, Claude Code, and Cursor interact directly with Your HR Toolkit using your normal platform permissions.

Currently in development. The MCP server is being built. This page is a placeholder for the full documentation, which lands as the server ships. For early access, email support@yourhrtoolkit.com.au.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external tools and data. An MCP server exposes a set of tools (actions the AI can take) and resources (data the AI can read) via a standard protocol that any MCP-compatible client can use.

For Your HR Toolkit, this means you'll be able to ask Claude things like "How much annual leave does Sarah have left?" or "Draft a written warning for the conduct issue we discussed" and have Claude pull real data and take real actions in the platform, with your permissions.

What's coming

  • Quick start. One-click installation guides for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and Cursor.
  • Tools reference. One section per tool: name, parameters, examples, what it does, which scope it requires.
  • Resources reference. URIs and schemas for data the assistant can read.
  • Authentication walkthrough. How the MCP server authenticates to the platform (OAuth or API key).
  • Security and permissions. What the AI can and can't do, and how to scope appropriately.
  • Examples. Real-world prompts that show what's possible.

Stay in the loop
