Find people in your organisation chart

The Org Chart is the platform’s visual map of your organisation. It shows who reports to whom, with a card per employee.

Open the Org Chart

  1. On the left hand sidebar, under Main, click Org Chart.

You’ll see a hierarchical tree starting from the top of your organisation, branching down through each manager’s direct reports.

What each card shows

Each employee appears as a small card with:

  • A circular avatar (their initials or photo if uploaded), with a consistent colour based on their name so the same person always looks the same in the chart.
  • Their name.
  • Their job title.
  • A department badge if their department is set.

Type a name in the search box at the top to find a specific person. Matching cards are highlighted in pink so they pop visually.

Search works on names. To search by other attributes (department, job title), use the All Employees page instead.

Click into a profile

Click any card to open that person’s profile (if you have permission). Useful for jumping straight from “who’s that person two levels up” to their full record.

What you can see on the profile depends on your role:

  • Employees can see basic info on colleagues but not sensitive details.
  • Managers see fuller info on their direct reports plus the same colleague-level visibility on others.
  • Admins see everyone in detail.

Unassigned employees

People who don’t have a manager set on their record show in a separate Unassigned section at the bottom. Common reasons:

  • They’re at the very top of the org (CEO, founder, etc.) and don’t report to anyone.
  • They’re a new hire whose manager hasn’t been set yet.
  • The previous manager has left and a new one hasn’t been assigned.

If you spot an unassigned employee that shouldn’t be, ask your HR admin to fix the reports-to relationship on their profile.

Editing the chart

The Org Chart is currently read only. Reporting lines can’t be changed from the chart itself; you change them from each employee’s profile (set their Reports to field).

Export

Export to PNG isn’t currently supported in the platform. Use a screenshot tool if you need a printable version.

Permissions

Visible to all roles (employee, manager, admin). It’s a public-within-the-org tool.
