Update your pay and super details

Pay and Super is where you tell the platform your tax file declaration and your super fund choice. It’s typically the last thing you complete during onboarding, but you can update it any time.

Open My Pay and Super

  1. Sidebar then Me then My Pay and Super.

Two main sections: Tax File Declaration and Super choice.

Tax File Declaration

The fields are the same as the standard ATO TFN Declaration:

  • Tax file number (TFN). Encrypted on save. The platform never shows it back to you in full. If you don’t have a TFN, tick “no TFN provided” and the standard withholding rate applies until you do.
  • Tax residency status (Australian resident, foreign resident, working holiday maker)
  • Basis of payment (full time, part time, casual, contractor)
  • Tax free threshold (claim or don’t claim, only one job at a time)
  • Senior or pensioner offset
  • HELP / VSL / TSL debt (yes/no, affects withholding)

Fill in and click Save TFN declaration. The form goes through to your payroll automatically (if your org has the payroll integration configured) so you don’t have to fill it in twice.

Super choice

Three options:

Use the company default fund

Tick the box. The platform uses your org’s default fund. Quickest path if you don’t have a strong preference.

Choose another APRA registered fund

  1. Search for the fund by name or USI.
  2. Pick the fund.
  3. Enter your member number (you’ll find this on your existing super statement).
  4. Save.

Self managed super fund (SMSF)

If you have an SMSF:

  1. Tick Self managed super fund.
  2. Enter:
    • Fund name
    • Fund ABN
    • Bank details for SG contributions (BSB, account number, account name)
    • Electronic Service Address (ESA) for SuperStream rollovers
  3. Upload a Trustee declaration if your org requires one (you’ll see a prompt).
  4. Save.

The platform validates the ABN against the ABN register before saving.

Updating later

You can come back to this page any time to:

  • Change to a different super fund
  • Update bank details for an SMSF
  • Update tax residency if your situation changes

Changes take effect from the next pay cycle. The platform notifies your manager and HR when something material changes (e.g. residency status, super fund), since these can affect tax and admin.

Privacy

Your TFN and bank details are encrypted at rest and never shown back in full. Your manager cannot see them. Only payroll administrators in your org and (where the integration is set up) the linked payroll system have access.
